You know, sometimes when you’re new at the job, you’ve just gotta make a few bad decisions to get things done. Create one mess in order to clean up another, and make some choices you’ll instantly regret, but it’s the only choice. That’s how all of Judith’s day ways.
Judith walked through the wax pool on the 8th floor and emerged…somewhere else, covered in wax, and floating in darkness. Not quite in darkness, there was the feintest light of on stage, and the sound of audience murmuring and getting to their seats. On stage there appeared to be a community theater reenactment of the rail accident Judith inspected years ago, which was her first brush with the paranormal. And shit just got weirder from there.
By the end of the session Judith had made the following executive decisions:
- Granting the entirety of the Monolith the Director Harrison in exchange for releasing his hold on the people in side.
- Clearing out the building to leave only a skeleton crew behind.
- Planting five candles for the wax man, one in her new office, one in the cafeteria, one on the cable room, one in the visitor lounge, and one in the rail car outside.
- Hiring former interterm archivist Barou, now The Archivist and giving them permission toe seal the 10th floor.
- Going back on her promise to former Director Harrison and being impaled by shadow because of it.
Sometimes you’ve just got to let the Candleman take a ride.
