My first encounter with Spell and Blade…that sparked a yearning I didn’t know I had!
Spell and Blade is a game about fantasy adventurers getting tied up in larger-than life problems, and trying to make ends meet while being swept up in journeys, curses, powerful monster attacks, and problems left by the Ancients and powerful wizards. We play to find out if our band of adventurers will survive the dangers, and stay Oathbound to each other over the course of years in this fantasy world—and what sort of legacy and legend they will leave behind.
Notably John played a Verani cursed with the the Vampyr Curse and though mechanically he was not required to take more the one curse, he played them all: Sunscorned, Thirst, Forbidden, and Deepbound. I played a faithful majordomo who handled her day to day affairs. Those characters are still in the lore of the game!
