In celebration of Andy’s birthday, we played a second game of transforming robots with big hearts: Surge Protectors.
Unable to defeat the Photons, the WIRE EMPIRE has concocted a plan to replace them! They have captured Macy, Trish, Chartreuse, and Divine and replaced them with EMPERION replicas who will
use their incredible fame and MetalWarp instruments to sow chaos and destruction.
This game started as a standard GM’d game but we realized that we all had so much fun listening to Andy’s narrations, that I just asked him to describe how they addressed all the trials:
- At an outdoor concert the Fauxton’s are playing a new song Bow to Your Robot Overlords. During the chorus holographic projections of EMPERIONS appear and send the crowd into a dangerous panic.
- Realizing the Fauxtons are impostors, can the SURGE PROTECTORS trick or convince them to lead them back to Buzzkill’s lair where they are held?
- Break the Photons free from Buzzkill’s fortified lair!
- Battle of the Bands between the Photons and the Fauxtons to prove who are the true rockers. Without their instruments, the Photons need the SURGE PROTECTORS to create their radical sound.
