GM: Sean Nittner
Players: Karen Twelves, Adrienne Mueller, and Eric Fattig
System: Blades in the Dark
From my Notes. Prep before the game:
- Strangord, agent of the demon Tyraxus, seek his dark lord’s desire to bring a Leviathan crashing through the gates of Doskvol. He also seeks temporal power (city council leadership). These desires are in conflict.
- Lord Governor wants the Electroplasm on the Nightbringer, and has the power to grant it access to the city.
- The possessed crew of the Nightbringer want to offer souls to the leviathan by throwing them into the void sea.
- Dreamcather (the leviathan) wants to consume the souls of both ships, as it has with the Iruvian ship Lancer.
Signs
- Alarms sounding (lights and klaxons)
- The Paragon, an Imperial Navy ship with the Lord Governor (in disguise) moves towards the Nightbreaker.
- Ship rocked back by the Leviathan below.
- Yadvyga called to by the other demons.
Notes from the game:
All the Sparkwrights have been called on to contain the situation (lightning barriers failing).
Tackle assembles a would be lightning hook and is warned away from Hix by Jadvyga.
Ro finds a crewmember, injured and branded. She tells Ro where to go but she was trying to lead him into a trap (she’s also possessed by the demon). Ro detected her lie and ended her with a blade between the ribs.
Found three DSS members fighting and discover that two have been shocked and have electroplasm burns. One stabs the other and then is knocked out and dragged off.
Flashback to the branding being done by Jadvyga in service to the Dreamcatcher.
Ro and Harland realize Thistle took a look at it and may also be possessed. Harland enters Thistle and is nearly destroyed (barely makes it out).
Ro kills Thistle and is confronted by Brie. He takes her down as well!
Hix and Emaline talk about Jadvyga being a demon. She’s not human and cannot be trusted.
Jadvyga and Ro “There’s not a lot of people here that I trust, but I’d like to trust you.” “I’ve got your back!”
Clocks
- Army of Lost Souls (2/8)
- Myst Reborn (4/4 0 Complete)
- Bit of a God (2/4)
Hix tries to the channel the Keeper of the Flame and it goes horribly…
