Oops, I did it again, I played with your dice, got lost in the game, oh baby, baby.
That’s how the song goes right?
I turned 50 this year and Karen encouraged me to do something special for my birthday, so I did! I hosted the second SeanCon, this time with three tables, 22 games, 27 friends, 94 meals, and one movie night.
It was so much fun to bring friends together, many who were meeting for the first time, to play games. We laughed, we cried (okay Andrew cried), we rolled dice, we told stories, and we celebrated each other’s company. I could not have asked for a better birthday celebration.
Thank you to all the folks who brought so much joy and curiosity into my home. I love you all.
Will I do it again? Maybe in 50 years.
Who am I kidding, of course I’ll do it again, but likely smaller next time. SeanCon 2025 as one table and felt a bit too small. 2026 we had three tables and I was working hard to keep everything in check. So the Goldilocks theory means I need to try again in 2027 with two tables instead, right?
